Built by Rudra Singha (CE 1697-1714), the small brick temple was consecrated to Devi. The temple rectangular on plan typically resemble do-chala Assamese hut. A small mukhamandapa facing south is annexed with the main temple. The temple is situated on the northwestern corner of the Joysagar tank.
